The Air Jordan 22 (XX2 or XXII) - Black / Varsity Red - Metallic Silver were released on April 7, 2007, and retailed for $175. They feature a black suede upper with silver and red accents, as well as a red inner lining. The inspiration behind these is the ultra fast F-22 Fighter Jet. Many of the obvious similarities can be seen in the sleek, sharp aerodynamic cuts on the sneaker, which on the plane, allow it to cut through the air like ice.They feature zig-zag stitching similar to that of the F-22 which [in the air]helps conceal the jet from enemy radar.
