The Air Jordan 22 (XX2 or XXII) PE - Denver Nuggets (White / Metallic Silver - University Blue - Taxi) were released on October 6, 2007, and retailed for $150. They feature a white, blue, and yellow color scheme, along with a side panel which feature the Denver logo across it, along with the city s skyline. Some of the most noticeable features include the shiny midsole and hardened heel counter. The midsole features a new and improved, color coded version of the IPS (Independent Podular Suspension) system, previously seen on other models.They allow the athlete to choose his cushioning for each pod with either a responsive, double stacked Zoom Air pod, or a shock absorbing encapsulated air. In addition to the custom fit cushioning the IPS provides, they also have a Phylon midsole to provide extra cushioning without adding extra weight. The heel counter keeps the heel and ankle sturdy, while doing everything possible to prevent any sort of sprain.
